What the experts say

94+ pts, Forbes, July 2025

“A minestrone brew of dark, diverse, complex and compelling aromas including red plums, butterscotch, wild fennel and black liquorice. Chewy and textured mid palate tannins and flavors include bouillon, blueberries and dark plums. Slight spice/cumin on a lip tingling finish.”

93 pts, Jane Anson, February 2025

“Vivid blackberry and black cherry fruit, plenty of fennel and bitter black chocolate, red cherry, raspberry, white flowers, there is a good amount of lift here among the intensity of the fruit.”

93 pts, Decanter Magazine, February 2025

“A rich and concentrated nose full of ripe blackcurrants, perfumed cherries and soft liquorice accents. This has sun-kissed damson and blackcurrant fruit with lots of toasted spice and dark bitter chocolate nuances. Tannins are super fine. The wine has lots of freshness.”

What the experts say:

91 pts, Georgina Hindle, Decanter, April 2022

“Exotic spices and rich dark chocolate on the nose. Smooth and Supple palate with a sappy drive of black cherries and plums given energy by vibrant acidity. Well balanced and juicy, with a strawberry and fresh mint tang. Bright and energetic yet this also has an understated charm with clear terroir markers in the well-controlled mineral tannins. No chaptalisation.”

90 pts, Jane Anson, Janeanson.com, April 2022

“Pencil lead, chalk, blueberry, raspberry, limestone scrape, a touch enthusiastic its tannic bite, but good quality in a difficult year.”
