At Château George 7, we think that the wines we make are perfect to go with food and on a whole host of occasions. But what goes with what?

Each season we will share recipes and dish ideas that will pair perfectly with red wines Prince or Château George 7 or our white wine Château George 7 Blanc featuring the ingredients that are abundant at the time. Some will be more intricate – especially developed for us by Chef Stéphanie - and some are just pointers based on food and wine pairing principles and recipes by other chefs, friends of Sally, or what Sally likes to make herself.

So whether your neighbours are popping in for a bite or you are planning a special celebration supper, we have some recipes to make your mouth water and the wine to help you savour them.

As a vegetarian winemaker, Sally, feels passionate about finding the perfect wine pairing for plant-based foods. She has teamed up with her friend, Wendy Narby, to create Wine and 2 Veg, to bring you seasonal plant-based recipes and ideas, and give you pointers on the theory of food and wine pairings too, to help you experiment at home.

Many a memorable moment is created by the sharing of good food and wine. Whether it is a simple midweek supper or a more elaborate celebration, there is always a great food and wine combination to make it that bit more special.

Stéphanie
After a first career exporting wine, Stéphanie launched herself as a Chef at Home in Bordeaux. She graduated as a Restaurant Chef and worked in particular for Chef Christophe Girardot at the Table de Montesquieu in La Brède (1 * Michelin). Stéphanie is passionate about cooking and creates recipes full of flavors. Throughout the year, she will create recipes using seasonal produce and help you to enhance the tasting and sharing experience of Château George 7 and Prince around a good table.
Sally
Sally was cooking in the family pub in her teens and running the kitchen in her Cotswold Inn in her twenties. Since then, food has continued to be important through entertaining and celebrations or just sharing simple times with friends and family.
