Chateau George 7 2020 is another excellent vintage - the 3rd in a row since I started making wine. Hard on the heels of the expressive 2018 & 2019, 2020 is most certainly in the same vein but with subtlety and elegance complementing the fresh, fleshy red and black fruit and beautiful oak flavours. Silky tannins and seamlessly integrated alcohol complete this wonderfully balanced wine that has layers of flavours to keep on giving.

Fermented in large 500l French oak barrels then matured in 225l barrels for 15 months.
Drink from 2023 for up to 15 years. It will likely reach its peak around 2027.
Prince de George 7 2022 is 100% Merlot made from 40+-year old vines in the parcel which is directly in front of my door. Prince is perfect for those who don’t like too much oakiness in their red wine. As a result, it can be drunk young and pairs with many dishes. When you taste Prince, you know what the wine-buffy term 'fruit-forward' really means - the fruit is right there, crunchy and fresh: strawberries, cherries, plums... and then a touch of oak to balance the fruit with good structure and to round the tannins. It is concentrated with a deep colour
Drink now and it will drink well for about 10 years.
Château George 7 Blanc is bright, clear with a pale lemon colour. It has a perfumed nose of white flowers, apricots, pink grapefruit and lemon zest. On the palate it zings on the tongue and you find the same flavours as on the nose with citrus fruits, apricot and a hint of almond, combined with a lovely roundness thanks to barrel ageing on the lees. The finish is refreshing and very long. A real must-have for the warmer seasons!
The 2023 vintage is rich while the 2024 is fresher due to a cooler Summer. Both have layers of flavours that just say 'Summer in a bottle'.
